West Tower, Ormskirk - Mr & Mrs Taylor-Price

When we arrived at Nicole's mum's house we were met with such a relaxed and chilled bunch of people and none more so than the bride herself!  Nicole seemed to take everything in her stride and even had time to Facetime her friend in Australia whilst having her hair done - who said women couldn't multi-task? After receiving an amazing arrangement of flowers from Ben together with not one but two bottles of Nicole's favourite Prosecco (major man points); it was time for everyone to begin getting dressed.  It was then that we realised that one of the Aussie lads had taken our case of equipment up to the venue having mistaken it for one of the bridesmaid's cases!  Well, as you can imagine, panic did set in and after some calls to Nicole's brother, he stepped in and managed to locate it, keeping it safe until our arrival.  What a star and big thanks to Richard again!

Nicole was a very glamorous bride in a sweetheart neckline, fish-tale gown with a dropped waist and volume all the way through to the hem; topped off with a stunning headpiece and full length veil with scattered crystals.  The bridesmaids complimented the bride perfectly dressed in pale grey with vintage headpieces.

Ben and Nicole chose to say 'I do' at the picturesque West Tower, set in eight acres of rolling Lancashire countryside.  Before the ceremony, we grabbed Ben and his groomsmen to capture some fun and relaxed images of them all.  The ceremony was a very informal affair with beautiful touches including a personal reading from Nicole's mum.  After signing the register, everyone headed outside for the group photograph followed by some of the wedding party.  When the weather is a bit chilly, we're always conscious that guests often get cold so we do try to work through any photographs as quickly as possible!

We whisked Ben and Nicole off for their photographs and by now the nerves had certainly disappeared which meant we were able to capture some amazing images.  As with all our wedding couples, it's important that we're able to document their relationship and Ben and Nicole were such a fun, relaxed couple so they wanted images that reflected that.

After their brief stint in the cold, Ben and Nicole spent the next hour mixing and mingling with their guests whilst we photographed the function suite which was to hold the wedding breakfast.  Every last detail had been covered from the table names of their beloved Manchester City, to the cute, personalised fortune cookie favours; they even had 4 foot illuminated letters spelling the word 'LOVE' which gave the room that touch of Hollywood glamour.  As for the cake....well what can we say apart from breathtaking.  Nicole's mum had painstakingly made the 7-tiered cake which included some amazing detail.  It was so amazing that it even had its own vintage frame, specially hand-made by Nicole's grandad making it very much a team effort by her family.

The guests tucked into a hearty meal of steak and ale pie which we're sure helped to soak up some of the alcohol and the speeches followed shortly afterwards.  Hilarious but touching speeches flowed one after another and it even included a short game of Mr and Mrs which Ben and Nicole threw themselves into much to amusement of their family and friends.  To top it off everyone headed down to the bar where the staff had set up a huge J├Ągerbomb domino drop and Nicole won of course!

The party then got into full swing once the evening reception started and there wasn't a free place on the dance floor.  Everyone partied way into the early hours and we're sure there were a few sore heads the next morning.

After grabbing Ben and Nicole for some final images now the light had faded, we said our goodbyes and headed for home with very sore feet but smiles on our faces.  It had been a fantastic wedding and we wish Ben and Nicole all the luck for the future!
